It noted that, according to the National Council of State Legislatures, since 2001, about twenty states had introduced bills around providing in-state tuition to undocumented immigrant students, and seven states had passed legislation awarding in-state tuition to these students. In 2006, the number of states that had introduced legislation rose to thirty. |
