Title:College knowledge: What Latino parents need to know and why they don't know it
Short Description:Addresses the impact of parental influence on childrens' college careers.
Annotation:This study of parents in Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles concludes that parents' lack of basic information about attending college handicaps their children. Language, it found, is the biggest obstacle. The study addresses the impact of parental influence on childrens' college careers, examining parents that have lower incomes, less education, or are first-generation immigrants.
