Title:A summary of career beginnings impact evaluation: Findings from a program for disadvantaged high school students
Short Description:According to data collected in a 1987-88 evaluation, compared to a control group, Career Beginnings participants showed increases in college attendance rates in the post-high school year.
Annotation:According to data collected in a 1987-88 evaluation, compared to a control group, Career Beginnings participants showed increases in college attendance rates in the post-high school year, were more likely to start college “on time” in the fall semester, had similarly high retention rates in college during the first year, and worked less and earned less in the year following high school (the result of attending college rather than working after high school).
