Source:http://nces.ed.gov/pubs2011/2011175.pdf
Date:2010
Organization:National Center for Education Statistics
Short Description:This Statistics in Brief describes the annual price of education among undergraduates enrolled in U.S. postsecondary institutions in 2007–08.
Annotation:Looks at data to answer three study questions: 1) What is average price of attendance, 2) How do prices vary across institutioms, and 3) how do prices vary by family income. Study finds average out of pocket cost AFTER all financial aid is $10,300 annually at a public university. Private 4 year universities use a high tuition high aid model and have both the highest cost compared to other institutions and the highest amount of aid. Among low-income students, students enrolled at for-profit institutions paid the highest average net price. 17 pages.
