Recently, researchers have been focusing more on how parent and student perceptions of college prices, financial aid, and affordability may be negatively impacting financial aid policy performance. This report looks at the background information regarding this issue. The authors then explore what we currently know regarding this issue. The report also includes suggestions on directions for future research pertaining to this topic.
