Source:http://www.ecs.org/clearinghouse/50/07/5007.htm
Date:2004
Organization:Education Commission of the States
Short Description:This report suggests ways state policymakers can support reform in early learning in urban districts.
Annotation:Although much evidence of the effectiveness of early childhood education exists, urban children often begin school significantly behind their suburban peers in cognitive, language and social development. These differences often grow as children move through their school years. This report suggests ways state policymakers can support reform in early learning in urban districts.
