Title:Improving college access for minority, low-income, and first-generation students
Short Description:Examines recommendations for increasing college access for minority, low-income, and first-generation students.
Annotation:This paper synthesizes recommendations made in four white papers commissioned by the Pathways to College Network on elements leading to increased college access for minority, low-income, and first-generation students. The papers examine the inadequacy of current middle and high school structures in preparing these students for college, and conclude that significant change will require the transformation, and perhaps complete overhaul, of the current P-16 system.
