Arthur S. Marmaduke was NASSGAP's first President and the organization owes him a great deal of gratitude. He spent his life helping generations of students fulfill their dreams of going to college.
Mr. Marmaduke was the longest-serving executive director of the California Student Aid Commission. He served 25 years at the commission, which was founded in 1955.
He died Aug. 24 at a care home in Carmichael from complications of Parkinson's disease, three days after marking his 56th wedding anniversary with his wife, Carolyn. He was 79. |
