Title: A matter of degrees: Improving graduation rates in four-year colleges and universities
Source:http://www2.edtrust.org/NR/rdonlyres/11B4283F-1...
Date:2004
Organization:Education Trust
Short Description:Recommendations for improving college access and graduation rates are examined in this report.
Annotation:Only six out of ten full-time freshman entering four-year Baccalaureate degree programs will successfully complete their degrees within six years. Over half a million such students leave college without completing their degrees each year. Many of these students are low-income and/or minorities, translating into only 7% of all lower-income students receiving a bachelor’s degree by age 26, compared to 60% of upper-income students. Recommendations for improving college access and graduation rates are examined in this report.
