Good Afternoon:

On May 3, 2012, NASSGAP held a special meeting of the full membership via telephone 
conference call to discuss proposed changes to NASSGAP’s Bylaws.  The Executive Committee, 
led by Lee Andes, has worked for many months to update the Bylaws and has sought and 
received member input.  During the May meeting, the following two additional suggestions were 
made:

1.  The definition of “state” should include U.S. territories and the District of Columbia.  You will 
see this change on page 3 of the attached
document.

2.  The word “planning” should be added to the title of the standing Conference Committee.  You 
will see this change on page 9 of the attached
document.

NASSGAP’s Executive Committee recommends that the organization’s Bylaws be amended to 
include the changes in the attached document.  Please review the Bylaws and be prepared to 
vote on the changes.  David Hughes, NASSGAP’s Secretary, will soon issue a poll to allow all 
voting members to vote on the proposed Bylaws.  If you are the voting member at your agency, 
please vote as soon as the poll is issued.  If you are not the voting member at your agency, 
please encourage your voting member to vote.
